Budaj Getting It Done

Peter Budaj is quietly putting up a solid season thus far for the Montreal Canadiens. After making 26 saves Friday night in a 3-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets, including three out of three in the shootout, Budaj has improved his record to 3-1. The only loss came in a game against the Avalanche in which Peter played well. It's not just the results, but the way he is getting them. In the words of Jon Elkin, "This is the best I have seen Peter play in the NHL. Starting with his on ice work this summer, his crease movement is the best I have ever seen from him. He is moving with speed, control, authority and confidence. His agility has also been exceptional and his hands active." Budaj holds a 1.48 GAA and a .945 save percentage.
